Position Title: Board Member – Spirited Foundation Limited
Location: Remote and/or Central Coast NSW (some in-person involvement preferred)
Time Commitment: Approx. 4–6 hours/month (quarterly board meetings, occasional events, and support as needed)
About Spirited Foundation Limited
Spirited Foundation is a grassroots charity committed to supporting youth impacted by domestic violence through nature-based healing programs, surf therapy, and community connection. Founded from lived experience, our mission is to break the cycle of generational trauma and empower young people to reclaim their futures.
Role Overview
We are currently seeking passionate, values-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play an essential role in shaping the strategic direction, sustainability, and impact of the organisation.
This is more than a governance role—it's a chance to be part of a movement for healing and change in our communities.
Key Responsibilities

Governance & Strategy

Participate in quarterly board meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.

Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and ethical responsibilities.

Fundraising & Financial Support
-
Support the development and execution of fundraising initiatives.

Make a personally meaningful contribution (not mandatory but encouraged).

Leverage your networks to open doors for funding, sponsorships, or in-kind support.

Community Outreach & Networking

Act as an ambassador for Spirited Foundation within your personal and professional networks.

Help build connections with community organisations, local businesses, and other stakeholders.

Attend or support community events and campaigns where possible.

Advocacy & Awareness

Raise awareness about domestic violence and Spirited’s programs through personal advocacy and social media engagement.

Champion our mission in your circles of influence.

Ideal Candidates Will Have One or More of the Following:
-
Experience in community services, youth work, fundraising, governance, or nonprofit leadership.

A strong local or professional network (especially across Central Coast, Sydney, or NSW).
-
Lived experience or deep empathy for the impacts of domestic violence.
-
A passion for nature, surf culture, or healing-based approaches to trauma.
