Call for Nominations: Join the ACSV Board in 2025!

The Australian Council for Student Voice Ltd. (ACSV) is calling for nominations to join our Board in 2025!

ACSV is the peak body and professional association dedicated to the development and promotion of student voice, agency, and partnerships. Our Board plays a key role in shaping our strategic direction, ensuring strong governance, and advocating for student empowerment.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome nominations from individuals with diverse backgrounds, particularly those with experience in:

  • Education & student voice advocacy
  • Policy & governance
  • Community engagement
  • Finance & fundraising
  • Marketing & communications
  • Legal & risk management

Most importantly, we are looking for passionate individuals committed to ensuring that students are active partners in shaping their education.

Board Member Responsibilities

As an ACSV Board Member, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction and governance for ACSV
  • Advocate for student voice, agency, and partnerships in education
  • Collaborate with students, educators, and policymakers to drive change
  • Ensure responsible financial management and sustainability
  • Meet key governance standards under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)

Governance & Legal Responsibilities

ACSV is a registered charity, and our Board members (Responsible People) must comply with the ACNC Governance Standards, which include:

  • Acting with care and diligence
  • Acting honestly and fairly in the best interests of ACSV and its mission
  • Disclosing conflicts of interest
  • Ensuring responsible financial management
  • Not allowing ACSV to operate while insolvent
  • Meeting eligibility requirements, including not being disqualified from managing a corporation or charity
