We provide specialised case management, access to safe, stable accommodation and support services to empower young people towards independence. As a registered charity, we work in partnership with government, community organisations, and businesses to drive innovative solutions in youth housing.
Treasurer Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board as Treasurer, providing financial oversight and strategic guidance to ensure the sustainability of our organisation. This is a voluntary role, offering a unique opportunity to contribute your financial expertise to a well-established and values-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
As Treasurer, you will:

- Ensure compliance with financial governance requirements, including ACNC and ATO obligations.
- Work closely with the CEO and external accountant to monitor financial performance.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Present financial reports at Board meetings and ensure transparency in financial matters.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and risk management processes.
- Support the organisation’s fundraising and grant funding strategies.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with:
- Financial Expertise – Experience in accounting, finance, or financial management (CPA/CA qualifications desirable but not required).
- Governance & Compliance – Understanding of financial reporting obligations for not-for-profits, including ACNC and ATO requirements.
- Strategic Financial Planning – Ability to oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and risk management processes.
- Attention to Detail – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure financial accountability.
- Commitment to Our Mission – A passion for youth housing and homelessness prevention.
While prior Board or Treasurer experience is beneficial, we also encourage applications from finance professionals looking to expand their governance experience.
Commitment & Benefits
- Fortnightly Board meetings (approx. 1.5 hours) and occasional sub-committee work.
- A chance to contribute to tangible, life-changing outcomes for young people.
- Professional development opportunities, including governance training.
- The opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and sector leaders.
