The Peter Cowan Writers Centre is looking for a new president for 2025 to guide us through our current growth spurt, and beyond.
Following a Covid slump PCWC is back to its vibrant and thriving self - thanks to our outgoing president of the past three years - and we are looking to build on the strong foundations that have been created.
PCWC is an incorporated (1995), not for profit that supports the writing community of Perth’s northern corridor.
Located on the beautiful grounds of Edith Cowan University campus we are the only writers centre located within a university in Australia. PCWC is independently run.
We are seeking someone with good governance, business, and management skills who can guide our board to meet the goals of our strategic plan begun in 2024.
A background in creative writing is helpful but not necessary. Being an avid reader of any genre, with an interest in fostering an organisation that provides opportunity for its members is highly valued.
Being our president would suit some-one who has the time and skill to consolidate our future and who is looking to pass their skills on to an organisation that can utilize them. If you are able to mentor our membership in being involved in the organisation all the better.
The position is voluntary.
We look forward to receiving your enquiry!
