Non-Executive Director - Edgar’s Mission

Edgar’s Mission is seeking to appoint new directors to the board. The Edgar’s Mission board is dedicated to upholding the values, mission and purpose of the organisation and support the work to create a kinder world for farmed animals.

ABOUT EDGAR’S MISSION

Edgar’s Mission is a not-for-profit sanctuary for farmed animals that seeks to create a humane and just world for humans and non-humans. It commenced in 2003 with a girl, Pam Ahern, a pig, the eponymous Edgar Alan Pig, and dream, a kinder world for all, and has grown to become one of the world’s premier and most-loved sanctuaries.

Set on 153 peaceable acres situated just outside of Lancefield, the sanctuary is nestled in the tranquillity of the Macedon Ranges.

Edgar’s Mission rescues, rehabilitates, rehomes or provides life-long sanctuary to farmed animals in need. At any one time, we provide a safe haven to between 350 and 450 animals. Through education, outreach, advocacy, community engagement and sanctuary tours, we encourage people to expand their circle of compassion to include all animals.
