Gateway Health Limited (GH) is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee and a registered Community Health Service under the Health Services Act 1988 (Vic). With offices located in Wangaratta, Wodonga and Myrtleford, Gateway Health provides care and services that connect the community and strengthen individual and population health and wellbeing.

Gateway Health is governed by a skills-based Board of up to nine Directors and is seeking to fill two Director position vacancies at the 2024 AGM. The Board is calling for applications from individuals who feel they can bring necessary governance experience and diversity to the organisation.

The Director role requires attendance at monthly Board meetings, membership of at least one of the Board Committees, and some additional work between meetings should also be anticipated.

We are looking for individuals with demonstrated experience in previous board governance roles, and a strong interest in the health and wellbeing of our local community. Specific attributes Gateway Health is seeking includes:

Essential:

  • Experience and / or understanding of community services OR asset management.
  • Competence in corporate governance, finance and risk management.
  • Resident of Ovens Murray region OR Albury and surrounds.

Desirable:

  • ICT Strategy and Cybersecurity experience and / or understanding.
  • Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
