ADEC is a for purpose organisation serving Victorian communities since 1982. We exist to support, and advocate for, one fair and inclusive community in which all people can achieve their optimum potential regardless of ethnicity, ability, or age. ADEC provides individual and systemic advocacy and services and support to people with a disability and older people, particularly from culturally diverse backgrounds.
Having recently completed a full review of our governance structures and to support the development and implementation of our new strategic plan, we are seeking an experienced and qualified non-executive director to the position of Treasurer on our Board.
The Treasurer supports the Board in the governance oversight of ADEC's finances and investment portfolio and Chairs the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.
The candidate must have appropriate qualifications, including as CPA, and have previous experience as a Board director.
ADEC Board Directors are volunteers; however, Directors are provided with support for development and expenses are paid.
Please contact the Executive Director, Paula Trood, on 0490889156 or paula@adec.org.au for further information.
