About us

The Police Association of Victoria (TPAV) represents the industrial, legal and welfare interests of approximately 18,000 sworn police officers and Protective Service Officers (PSOs) in Victoria and is among the most influential and high-profile employee organisations in the state.

About the Role

The Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FARC) provides independent assurance and advice to the Board of the Police Association (the Board) in relation to risk, control and compliance framework, along with financial management and reporting responsibilities. The Committee comprises five members appointed by the Board, with two of these members being Independent Committee Members.

Each committee member is required to sign a confidentiality agreement on commencement and to make an annual declaration of interests.

The FARC meets a minimum of six times per year and out of session as required. Independent Committee Members are expected to attend these meetings.

The role is for a fixed two-year term.

About you

You will have high level knowledge of corporate governance and risk management practices, along with demonstrated skills and qualifications and/or experience relevant to a Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. You will have a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and of the key role played by independent committee members.

Remuneration for this role will be $250 per meeting.
