GADAus promotes the prevention and control of violence, abuse and discrimination against women, children and LGBTIQA+ people and men’s self-harm and suicide, before, during, and after emergency and disaster situations.
Holding a vision for an Australian society that recognises and acts to prevent the harms of rigid gendered stereotypes in disasters, we work to inform inclusive and evidence-based responses to disaster and emergency management.
Based in Victoria but operating nationally, we are seeking a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) to serve as a volunteer Committee Member on our Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (a sub-committee of the GADAus Board of Directors).
The Committee Member will not be an elected Board Director, but will provide advice, guidance and independent oversight to the Committee based on their accounting and financial management experience.
The Committee Member will be appointed for an initial period of one (1) year (with the possibility of reappointment), with a commitment of six (6) online committee meetings per year of 1 hour each.
If you would like to offer your accounting skills and experience to support our small and dedicated team, we would love to hear from you.
Please contact Emily at e.hedger@gadaustralia.com.au for further information.
