Our service has received funds to subsidize a lawn and low maintenance garden service for those people who are most in need; who are older people and frail persons with moderate, severe or profound disabilities; OR younger persons, with moderate, severe or profound disabilities who are residing in their own home, in the LGA of Sutherland Shire.

Work will be carried out by contractors approved and contracted to Sutherland Shire Home Modification & Maintenance Service Inc.

SSHMMS will subsidize 40% of the cost of the job and clients will be sent an Invoice for payment within 7 days.

Lawn mowing will be an average of 12 cuts per year with a maximum of 16. Low maintenance gardens will be on a once only basis. Fire Safety e.g. removing leaves in yard, trimming bushes etc., will be done in areas where homes are beside natural bush areas only, this will be done annually prior to the bush fire season
