Extra Hands is a volunteer placement program that provides people with an easy, safe, obligation free way to volunteer.  Extra Hands brings people together to care for Tasmania's unique places and spaces. 

The Intent of Extra Hands Volunteer Program:

We provide insurance, training, newsletters and practical skills in activities such as tree planting, native seed collecting, water monitoring and animal and bird surveys.

Recent Accomplishments of Extra Hands Volunteer Program:

As at May 2008 we have;



    • Over 700 registered volunteers

    • Held 48 events

    • Assisted 21 landholders or event hosts


     

    Participation in Extra Hands Volunteer Program:

    The group is open for everyone to join or participate in.

    Meeting Venue:

    All over Tasmania.  Simply register at www.taslandcare.org.au/extrahands

    The venue is wheelchair accessible.
