Purpose and Philosophy
Ability Care Ltd’s stated purpose is the provision of services of a high standard to people with a disability . These services are designed to enhance and enrich the individual’s quality of life.
Ability Care believes in:
The right of people to make choices and decisions in their own lives;
the right of people to dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality;
the right of people to be valued and appreciated as individuals;
the right of people to access services on a non-discriminatory basis;
the right of the individual to accountable and responsive services.

Overview of Services Provided by the Organisation
Ability Care currently delivers a range of services, both funded and unfunded across Logan City Council.
The list of services that Ability Care currently provides include:
Disability Day Services, Challenging Behaviour Placement, Disability Advocacy, Host Family Program, Supported Accommodation, In-home support, Case Management, Mentoring, Peer Development, Young adult Recreation, Life Skill Development, Crisis Intervention, Support Groups, Respite Care Options, Work Experinece Placement,In-Home Support, Transition from Care, Auspice of other Agencies, Respite for Older Carers, Children’s Respite Services, Adult Respite Services, Vacation Care programs, Camps, Community Access Programs, Day respite for people with a disability from 6 to 65.
Learning Focus
Ability Care Ltd seeks to develop a culture of learning and development in the delivery of its services. The Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement models of service delivery also emphasise the ongoing evaluative process that forms the bedrock of the agency’s activities.
Programs have increased in size and we are currently looking at renovating centres to cope with the influx of service provision.
