To Provide Legal assistance to Aborigial and Torres Strait Islander women in all areas of Law
Eg; Family and Domestic Violence, Family Law, Child Protection, Discrimination, and Housing .
We provide legal advice and referral,and deliver community legal education kits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women within our region. We are involved in NAIDOC, International Women's Day, The National Indigenous Women's Legal Service.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women's Legal Service NQ Inc, which was formely the Indigenous Women's Unit of the North Queensland Women's Legal Service In. We became separated and incorporated in 2006 under the current name as mentioned above.
