Daisy Hill Community Centre
Address
DAISY HILL VIC 3465
Daisy Hill is a small rural community of
approximately 250 households. It is a
rapidly growing community, and the need is
for us to set up a communication system by
which information can be distributed quickly
and efficiently, to all the residents. We
have set up a CFA Fireguard Phone Tree, and
a have a well used Community Centre, as well
as a vigorous and helpful General Store.
The Intent of Daisy Hill Community Centre:
The Daisy Hill Community Centre is auspiced
by the Central Goldfields Shire, whose
offices are located in the city of
Maryborough in Victoria. We need to obtain a
small grant so that a periodical bulletin of
information and news could be 'photocopied'
and 'distributed through the Australia Post'
delivery system. The distribution costs 14
cents per mail-box drop, i.e. 250 x 14 cts.
= $35.00 per two months or $210.00 per year.
Photocopy costs are 10 cts. x 250 = $25.00
per two months or $150.00 per annum.
Therefore the value of the grant requested
is $360.00 per annum. The design and
content, as well as the administration will
be voluntary. All expenses will be
authenticated by way of a statement and
receipts for the expenses.
