Our organisation aims to provide dance training for both recreational and professional levels.
We aim to provide opportunities for students of dance to perform at a professional level while preparing for a career in Dance.We aim to provide professionally produced dance performances for our local community, regional areas, interstate and export our own choreographic art internationally
The Intent of Duprada Dance Company:
Our group is involved in inspiring young people to be artistically educated, training them to be fit and healthy, inspiring them to work hard and enjoy the rewards and achievements which must be earned.
We are involved developing our successful teaching methodology into all performing arts areas.
We are developing Duprada Music Ensemble and after five years 2005 saw our first performance of a ballet with live music in the theatre
We develop our own choreography and produce well known stroy ballets specifically for interested arts enthusiasts and children.
Recent Accomplishments of Duprada Dance Company:
In 2004/2005 Duprada Dance Company celebrated its 20th Anniversary, Director Lynne Hanton was nominated and named "Territorian of the Year" for her services to Dance and the Community, Performances were held every three months in Alice Springs and Darwin. We achieved our first performance with Duprada Music Ensemble which we are currently developing.
Five Dancers who are training and performing with the Company successfully auditioned for the International Master Classes held in Prague. The 5 dancers and two teachers spent two weeks with 10 of the worlds best Master Teachers bringing back the experience, changes in techniques and inspiration back to Australia.
Current Activities of Duprada Dance Company:
Our dancers were given placements in 2005 International Master Classes in Prague and were guests of the Singapore Dance Theatre. This has inspired the Company to perform overseas and show what Australia can produce. We will begin by performing in Singapore in 2006 - The Venue, the Choreography, dancers, music,travel and accommodation are in place. Being new in the market place means our biggest challenge will be the marketing.
