CAAAPU delivers two services, Outreach external service and an Alocohol and other Drugs Treatment Program, which is residential. The organisation delivers a program based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous which has been adapted to the Indigenous Community. CAAAPU'S mission is to create a healthy and safe environment that is culturally based and promotes a healthy life style. CAAAPU takes a holistic approach and offers a Life Skills program to clients as part of the treatment program. CAAAPU clients also recieve support after completion of the treatment program by means of Aftercare Support. CAAAPU is further developing relationships with outlying communities, Indigenous Organisations, Non-Indigenous Organisations and Town Camps to enable the Organisation to deliver a beneficial service.

The Intent of CAAAPU:

CAAAPU treats Indigenous and Non-Indigenous people for Alcoholism. CAAAPU also assists the clients to find suitable accomodation and employment where ever possible.

Recent Accomplishments of CAAAPU:

The Organisation is running a successful life skills program as part of the treatment program. This enables the clients to aquire skills that improve individual life styles.

Current Activities of CAAAPU:

CAAAPU is training staff in mental health issues to enable the treatment program to further develop. This will enable CAAAPU to deliver a treatment program to petrol sniffers and other forms of addiction.
