Our aim is to preserve our local history of the RAAF in Mildura during World War II for future generations and to commemorate those who lost their lives training in RAAF Base Mildura, 2 Operational Training Unit.
The members of the Mildura Branch of the RAAF Association operate an Air Museum commemorating the RAAF Base at Mildura during WWII. The operation of the museum is managed and carried out by volunteers, many of whom are WWII veterans.
A RAAF Memorial has been dedicated next to the Museum and which records the names of the Sunraysia members who did not return, those who died while serving at Mildura and those who served at Mildura but who did not return from service elsewhere. The Memorial features a life-size bronze statue of an Airman.
The RAAFA Mildura Branch volunteers operate the Museum 3 days a week for the public and maintain the Memorial.
Joining the group is restricted to: Ex RAAF members, relatives and those with an interest in aviation or the Museum.
