What is this appeal for?
We are collecting funds to support important and worthwhile research into inflammatory bowel disease (crohns disease & ulcerative colitis), which are serious lifelong disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in need of further understanding that will lead to:
  • improved treatment and management
  • identification of possible risk factors and cause/s
  • the search for a cure
    		•

    How will the funds be used?

    To support the clinical and scientific research programmes and other ongoing work of the Crohns & Colitis Research Centre in Brisbane.

    Key areas of expenditure for funds donated:
    • Purchase of equipment for the laboratory
    • Work on conducting a population based on epidemiologocal study
    • The continuing work on identifying the genes that contribute to the development of Crohn's and Colitis
    Is this appeal tax deductible? Yes
    Will I receive a receipt for my donation? Yes, though it will be delayed as it is sent by Australian Crohns and Colitis Association Queensland Inc (ACCQ)
